Damien Hirst began experimenting with spin paintings as early as 1992, and also gave visitors the opportunity to create their own spin paintings at exhibitions and performances. Also on the first two days of the retrospective exhibition “Requiem” 2009 in the Pinchuk Art Centre in Kiev, Ukraine, a workshop took place in which visitors could create their own works on four Spin Painting machines on the provided stamped papers with the help of trained assistants and partly also with Hirst himself.
