Condition: Small buckling with tear (approx. 1 cm) in the upper left edge, crease trace (approx. 14 cm) 8 mm parallel to the lower edge, some soft to significant handling creases as well as tiny split-offs of the gelatin layer along the sheet edges. Overall impression good.

Günther Förg was born in 1952 in Füssen. Until 1979 he studied with Karl Fred Dahmen at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. His artistic work in the fields of painting, printmaking, sculpture and photography is characterized by his involvement with architecture. Förg took part in Documenta IX in Kassel in 1992 and held a professorship at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts from 1999. In 2013, the artist died in Freiburg im Breisgau.
