Condition: Good condition with occasional soft handling creases in the margins. Remains of paper tape at the revers corners, lower left additionally with a loss of the paper surface.


Herbert Piel was born in 1957 in Neuss and came to photography as an autodidact. He works for international photo agencies such as Reuters, Associated Press and Deutsche Presseagentur (dpa) and is a photo reporter for magazines such as Stern, Bunte and Spiegel as well as daily and weekly newspapers. His thematic focus is on reports from crisis areas and portraits of international politicians and regents such as Michael Gorbatschow, Bill Clinton, Willi Brandt, Helmut Kohl and the British Queen Elizabeth II. Herbert Piel lives in Holzfeld-Boppard.
