The Austrian artist Maria Lassnig (1919-2014) is known for her thematic examination of the body, physicality and body sensation, which is shown above all in self portraits. In this frontal view, Horst Stasny depicts her covered one third by one of her paintings.

Condition: Very good condition.

Biography

The Austrian photographer Horst Stasny was born in Salzburg in 1941. He first took over from his mother the photo studio founded by his grandfather and became known as an advertising photographer with studios in Linz, Zurich and the USA. There he teaches as a guest lecturer at the Brooks Institute in Ventura and Am Arts Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Horst Stasny lives and works in Thalheim near Wels, Austria.
