Signed, dated and inscribed “Trial Proof for Spiral Prism” in brown color pencil.

Condition: The lower edge minimally and irregularly trimmed, all edges faintly bumped in places. Overall good condition.

The artist Michael McKinnon, born 1940 in Beulah in the Australian state of Victoria, studied painting at the Melbourne Institute of Technology from 1959 to 1961. After various teaching activities he moved to London in 1965, where he studied with a scholarship at the Royal College of Art and founded th srtist group “Continuum” in 1968. McKinnon began working as a documentary filmmaker in 1978. His paintings and sculptures are represented in numerous museums in Great Britain and the USA.
