Condition: The margins somewhat unfresh, the gray area minimally rubbed in places. Overall good condition, consistent with age.


Siegfried Neuenhausen studied at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf from 1952 to 1959. From 1964 until his retirement he taught at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig. In his paintings, graphic works, and sculptures, Neuenhausen addresses social contradictions, political lies, and forms of violence such as dictatorship and torture with educational aspirations. Since the late 1970s he has worked with prisoners and the mentally ill, among others.
